How to Break in Your Inzer Forever Powerlifting Belt?
So you got yourself a new Inzer Forever Powerlifting Belt! Whether you picked up the 10mm or 13mm in either lever or prong you've probably noticed that it showed up rather stiff. Inzer belts are known for their longevity and durability but that does come with the trade off of starting out very rigid.
The Inzer 10mm Lever belt is one of our best sellers and for a very good reason, it's the perfect combination of price and quality. A great first belt that is built to last for your entire lifting career if you want. However it will take some time to break in and get comfortable.
The best way to break in the belt is to just wear it while you train, including keeping it on loosely between sets, your body heat can help soften and mold the leather to your body. The more you use it the quicker it will break it to fit you like a glove.
If you want to speed the process up slightly you can gently roll the belt up over and over. Don't try to tightly roll it, just slightly more than it naturally want to roll. If you try to do it too tightly too quickly you can stretch out the suede and cause some wrinkling. Do this slowly and not too aggressively and you should notice the belt slowly softening up.
If you've bought the 10mm prong belt then you will want to especially focus on the tongue of the belt, since it can be tough to fold that back into the belt loop when it's new and stiff. Again just do it slowly and with the tongue you can work it both directions to break it in more quickly.
When you are storing the belt between workouts you can roll it up for storage, this will again help to just gently break the leather in.
All told this process can take somewhere between a few weeks and a few months but in the end you'll have a belt that will fit you like a glove!
Not sure if you should have gone with a 13mm? Check out our 10mm vs 13mm comparison guide.
