Developed by NFL Player, Jesse Ohliger, the Breath Belt was created to solve a 10 year bout with chronic hip and lower back pain.
After a year of consultations with an array of Doctors, Rehabilitation Specialists and Strength and Conditioning coaches, it became clear that all modalities were missing something to connect breath mechanics to optimal hip function – as they are tied systems. It became evident that a tool was needed to alleviated tight abdominal tissues that restrict the prime movers, QL & PSOAS, against gravity during exercise.
The Breath Belt is currently helping thousands of clients as well as numerous college and professional sports teams in corrective movement, rehab and strength and conditioning. It is widely used to help any coach or client quickly learn and feel the link between diaphragmatic breath mechanics and hip mobility – as they are tied systems.
SI JOINT DISTRACTION
For all front side distraction below the belly button, always recommended that SI JOINT distraction is utilized. Recommended folded up hip circle, folded fabric or 2 half myofascial balls. Comfort may vary between client.
PSOAS & OBLIQUE DISTRACTION
First timers users: recommended 2 distraction balls for the Psoas area, located on left and right side between point of hip (ASIS) and belly button. More advanced users may try Oblique distraction on side body between rib and hip. Recommended distraction pressure increase from rolled up socks, racquet ball, myofascial ball, tennis ball. The Breath Belt provides non-stop tactile breath cues where the internal distraction objects are placed. When the user actively resists the internal distraction with each breath, there is an immediate relief of the muscles restriction the prime lumbar stabilizers, the PSOAS and QL. As decompression of the the lumbar spine continues, the hips reset to an improved position allow the gluteal muscles to better serve their purpose.

Initially it took a few days to get used to wearing it. Once I figured out how to wear it properly, Then to get use to wearing it during my workouts. Now I wear it, all the time and it feels great. So glad Jesse Ohliger directed me to purchase it from Inner Strength.

So simple, yet so effective ! The tactile queues really make a difference in practicing the most important aspect of training.
Amazing. Very happy with both products.
Seems like a good idea I have a 42 inch belly , belt was difficult to connect could not line up distraction pockets. Only the edges of the Velcro would reach. I did not think the attachment points would last Also extremely tight pushed belly up uncomfortably high. Returned no problem
