The Sling Shot briefs provide warmth and support for your hips, upper legs and lower abdomen. Isolated compression to these areas helps increase performance and avoid injury. These briefs produce a rebound effect allowing the lifter to handle max weights with confidence. Neoprene construction with an exterior jersey demonstrate durability while remaining comfortable for the user.
Pretty impressed with slingshot briefs after first use. I used them on my lower dynamic-effort day. Free squat, box squat, sumo/conventional deadlifts. Compression felt great on the adductors, abductors, IT band, quads and low back. Similar to a knee sleeve effect; but for the hips. Not sure; how much there would be a carryover on a squat but definitely a hip dominant squatter might experience some? I speculate the heat helps with increased blow flow/metabolic rate within muscle cells (recovery) and the compression aids in reduction of muscle hypertonicity; next day the legs didn't feel as "trashed." In addition, I was squatting/deadlifting against quite a bit of band tension; normally would experienced DOMS and some degree of "tightness" in the lower extremities but felt pretty good. I also think the briefs will aid in longevity of the hip joint offering support with minimal assistance. I squat/DL 2x week will be adding the briefs into one of these sessions. Also of note; can fit knee sleeves on underneath and knee wraps should work for some wrapped cycles too; can just roll up briefs and then back down. Summary 100 % recommend and happy with service and purchase! Thank you!
This is a good product. It gives support to the trunk, glutes, hamstrings. I was looking for something to help with a damaged hamstring and the compression, support and rebound at the bottom helps take some pressure off of it at the bottom position of a squat or deadlift where the hamstring bothers me most. This isn't like a full squat/deadlift suit it's not going to add much weight to a lift. Sizing chart is good. Well made. Highly recommend.
Not to bad, I used them for my deadlifts, possibly could have went with the smaller size but I don’t think I would be able to get them on, these are a shad to big but by very little, I’m hoping to gain a bit of size to fill them out
