Avantages
I didn’t have a problem with the function of the shoe. They just felt like they’re a very cheap material for the price
These are my first pair of lifting shoes I've ever bought and have to say that they're amazing. They are comfortable and solid and use them for all my main lifts.
I am a competitive masters powerlifter (6' 1", 242lbs). I originally purchased the "Sabo Deadlift" shoe (the predecessor to this model), which I liked very much. It was the perfect combination of barefoot feel / low to the ground, and support. I bought them initially for deadlift, and later started squatting in them also (much better position for me for engaging posterior chain than the squat "lifters" I had been using). My only issue was that I tended to roll around a little more than I would have liked (which, granted, is more of a technique/balance issue, than a footwear issue). That being said, I feel MUCH more stable in these shoes. The outsole design really does appear to provide more stability side to side and makes it harder to roll back on your heels. The heel position might be a millimeter higher than the original deadlift shoes, but it's more than worth it IMO. Also, the insole is a little thicker (the very thin insole in the original design tended to move around inside the shoe on me). The top strap is wider and sturdier and provides more support (if you want it) thant the predecessor. Anyway, these are a big improvement for me all around and I'm happy with the upgrade even though the last generation shoes still had plenty of life in them. A note on sizing. My original Sabo Deadlift shoes were a 44 and they fit absolutely perfectly (any smaller and they would have been too small). I'm a US size 11, normal to slightly wide foot. I bought these shoes in a 45 because online reviews led me to believe they might run slightly smaller. They felt too roomy, so I ordered the 44, which fit perfectly (I put one of my old 44s on one foot and the new 44 on the other, and the fit was identical).
Great service, fast shipping. The shoe does the job it wis intended to do. Fits true to size and comfortable.
Big improvement over flat soled sneakers or heeled weightlifting shoes.
