    FAQs

In a powerlifting meet, you compete in three lifts: squat, bench press, and deadlift, and your best attempt in each builds your total. Many lifters talk about a fourth main lift in training, the overhead press, because it builds upper-body strength and helps your bench, even though it is not part of meet scoring.

The most common mistakes are rushing your setup, breathing shallow, and losing tightness as the bar gets heavy, which turns a solid rep into a grind or a miss. Use our powerlifting equipment the right way, set your belt and sleeves the same each time, and practice commands and depth so that meet-day nerves do not change your lift.
