Both our L-1 and L-2 Lifters use a 21mm heel and a wide toe box, plus double straps for midfoot security. The L-2 adds more reinforcement through the midsole and heel, a protective toe guard, and a TYRTAC outsole that grabs the platform well. You also get a lower-profile shape with rounded edges and a heel loop that makes them easier to pull on.

Our TYR L-2 Lifters use a 21mm raised heel from forefoot to heel, about 0.83 inches. That height reduces ankle bend at depth and helps you keep your chest up in squats. If you train in flat shoes now, do a few warm-up sets to get used to the new position.

You can train a full lower-body day in our TYR L-2 Lifters, especially squats, front squats, leg press, and overhead work. For deadlifts and rows, many lifters swap to a flatter shoe because the heel adds height and changes their start position. If your workout includes lots of running, box jumps, or burpees, switch to trainers so your feet can flex and land naturally.
