    Our TYR L-1 Lifter uses a 21mm raised heel, which is about 0.83 inches from forefoot to heel. That heel height reduces how much ankle bend you need to hit depth, so you can keep your heels down more easily. If your ankles don’t bend much, you’ll often find squats and front squats feel smoother right away.

    Use our TYR L-1 Lifters for squats, front squats, and Olympic lifts like snatches and clean and jerks. The raised heel and stable base can make it easier to sit into a deep position while keeping your torso more upright. They’re not the first choice for workouts with lots of running, jumping, or deadlifts, where a flatter shoe often feels better.
