If you ask most lifters what's the first thing you should get for equipment for training the answer will often be shoes. Look around at other sports, do you see football or baseball players playing in running shoes, no, they are wearing the right shoes for the sport. Stop trying to lift heavy in soft, squishy shoes. The Notorious Lift line of lifting slippers puts you as close to the ground as possible, removing any instability from a soft shoe.
Execution is at the forefront of the design for Sumo Sole Gen 2.5. The slipper features their newly designed Fortis sole that infuses the strengths of their two existing soles. They took the ultra-thin thickness of the Notorious Lifters and paired it with the Sumo Sole’s brawny side lateral wall. They found a happy medium for the lateral height that would be comfortable to wear for the duration of a workout but would also prevent any spillage during heavy pulls.

Love these shoes.
Having a very wide forefoot, I was skeptical in ordering these (as I am with all shoes) but, to my surprise these actually accommodate my feet quite well. Super comfortable and great construction!
If you have wider feet, consider sizing up by 1
It was very worth to buy it. I feel comfortable when I wore those slippers.
It was great until the metal part started opening and eventually broke off today. Now i have no way to keep the shoe tight :/ I loved the gen 1’s and thought I’d make an expensive upgrade but i’m completely bummed that these broke so early. I’ve used it for ~3 months, only wore them when working out, and didn’t walk around in them excessively or anything. I’ve heard great things about gen 2.5s so I’m not sure what went wrong here :(
Hey Kira, we will replace your metal loop, some of the early 2.5s had this issue but we have heavier replacement loops that you can easily replace this yourself.
